Lately, Kerala State Government has announced and initiated a new scheme for the resident of the entire state. It is mainly a welfare system named DMW scholarship. Needy students of the states are entitled to get a direct financial scholarship from the state government officials which this scholarship entails. This scheme is mainly for minority students who need timely assistance from the state government under the Department of Minority Development, Kerala.
Students who are belonging to the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) are entitled to the help of this scholarship online. What is DMW Scholarship
The state of Kerala announced and launched the DMW Scholarships or Joseph Mundassery Scholarships. This scholarship was started by the Department of Minority Development of Kerala and it was designed for minority students and also meritorious students who are not financially buoyant. The government of Kerala state will be providing Rs. 15,000 to each student and this will be done through the mode of DBT. The application can be done through the official website.

Students belonging to minority groups such as Christians, Muslims, Buddhism, Jain, Sikhs, or Parsi who are pursuing their education at the SSLC, +2, and vocational Higher Secondary Education (VHSE) level must be residents of the state of Kerala.

Eligibility Criteria For DMW Scholarship

- The applicant must be a permanent resident of Kerala state.
- Applicants must have legal and original documents.
- The candidate must have a bank account in any of the Nationalized banks of India.
- Candidates’ Aadhar cards must be linked with their bank accounts (optional).
- Those candidates must belong to the minority communities such as Christian, Buddhism, Jain, Sikh, Muslim, or Parsi.
- The student must belong to the Below Poverty Line (BPL)
- Candidates must be pursuing education from any government and government-aided school/ institution.
- The annual family income of the applicant must not be more than 8,00,000 Rupees.
- Applicants must have a meritorious background.

- An amount of Rs. 10,000 will be awarded to the SSLC students who have A+ grades in all subjects as a scholarship.
- All the minority UG level students who have 80% and above percentage marks will eligible to get the scholarship amount of Rs. 15,000 under this scheme.
- All the minority PG level students who have 75% and above percentage marks will eligible to get the scholarship amount of Rs. 15,000 under this scholarship scheme in Kerala.
